AngelWorx: This program is for volunteers who are matched one-on-one with lonely and isolated individuals. Angels (volunteers) are asked to make contact at least twice a month with their VIP (very important pal). The program includes opportunities for individuals (Angels), groups (AngelCorps), teens (TeenAngels) and young children (LittlestAngels). Visit our volunteer page for more information.

Attendant Care: This service provides a trained, caring attendant to assist a disabled or disoriented client.

Caregiver Support: Our CareGiver program helps those who are taking care of family members as well as providing support for grandparents who are raising their grandchildren. We offer respite care, support groups, resources and real help for caregivers. The program is part of the Indiana CareGivers Alliance. Emergency Response Service: Our emergency response system – known as Companion Service – is a device worn around your neck or kept nearby that can help you alert others to help if you have emergency needs; it provides 24-hour access to help. Guardianship: We have several years' experience in helping those who can no longer take care of their private affairs. Our guardianship and asset management services help people who don't have family or friends to help take care of their well-being. We serve as guardians for more than 30 individuals through a state-supported program. In addition, we offer LifeGuard, a private guardianship program, by a nationally licensed guardianship counselor.

In-Home Care and Options services: Our care managers help clients connect with the care they need and deserve. Our In-Home Care Managers and Options Counselors assess clients' needs, identify funding sources for services and provide our clients' choices of in-home service providers in their area, authorize delivery of service and follow up with clients to make sure they are satisfied and getting the level of care they need. Options Counselors also assist with transition from nursing facilities back into a residential setting and assist with exploring options for care.

Legal Advice: Legal Services of Indiana at (800) 869-0212 provides advice and counsel when older persons and their families are faced with financial or legal concerns. The service is offered through a donation basis and is supported in part by LifeStream Services. LifeStream 2-1-1/Information and Referral: We are the regional 2-1-1 Center for East Central Indiana, and callers can dial 2-1-1 for information and referral for a wide variety of health and human service groups and agencies. There is no cost to call 2-1-1, and the service is available 24 hours a day. Our trained counselors can assist in helping to find the right information to fit your needs. Our Information and Referral service is also the entry point to services. Here, we make sure you get to the department or receive the information you need as quickly as possible. Making Your Voice Heard (Advocacy): We take a leadership role in advocating on behalf of seniors and people with disabilities. You can help, too, through our Legislative Awareness Seminar, by calling or writing your government officials or by letting us know what concerns you have. Nutrition Services: We provide hot lunches on a donation basis (suggested donation of $3.50) at 11 Senior Cafes in East Central Indiana. Meals are for those age 60 and older, though those younger than 60 can have lunch for $6.25 at any of our cafes. See the list of our Senior Cafes to schedule a visit; just call 24 hours in advance for a reservation. Plan your visit around your favorite foods -- see our Cafe Menus for what we're serving today. We provide more than 70,000 meals a year through our cafe program. We also deliver more than 160,000 meals to our clients' doors weekdays. Homebound individuals ages 60 and older might qualify to receive a meal at home on a donation basis. Meals are available for delivery for anyone for $6.25 a meal. Respite Care: Arrangements can be made to give caregivers some time away so they can take care of their own needs or take care of errands for the client. Respite care is an important part of the overall care plan.

Transportation: The New InterUrban is a rural transportation service open to people of all ages in Delaware, Blackford, Grant, Randolph, Jay, Madison and Henry counties.
